Black and White Show painting # 2

I Want You, You, and You,  acrylic, ink, gouache on wood,  (12" x 12"),  2014

Here's the second painting that is part of the Black and White Show at the CUBE gallery in Ottawa.
A simple black line can be so effective.

Black & White show at CUBE gallery

I'm in a group show in Ottawa at the CUBE gallery starting today July 29th -August 31st.
As the title implies, all the work is in black and white. I have 3 portraits in the show. So go jump in your car or take the train to Ottawa and come check out the show.

Dog Days of Summer

I had no idea this photo would turn out like this. All I wanted was a shot of the poster. I love this photo. You can see me taking the picture with my camera, Augusto standing there doing something with his bag and the old lady walking by looking at the poster to see why the heck I would stop and take a photo if it (I love the illustration of the girl's face on the poster). A hot day in July in the Plateau.

You know it's hot outside when you have a cut on your finger and put a bandaid on it, but it ends up making your cut feel worse because the bandaid is making your finger sweat and the salt from your sweat is stinging the cut on your finger.

Paintbrush throw-up

Looks like my paint and brushes threw up and exploded all over my work table. It was an intense period during the second week of July with me working on a double portrait commission (which turned out amazing if I may say so).
